And so it continues...MORE banging in my ears...and a Review

The windows and doors are in...RAH!...quite a challenge with the dogs but it all got done.
The Transom window over the front door ended up getting a crack in it, so now we will have to get that replaced...oh well....

The siding was delivered yesterday and they are here today to begin...Kurt and Justin will NOT recognize the house next time they pull into the driveway...oh my....It is exciting, and yet makes me a little sad....LOVE this house...some things in life are bittersweet...

The kitchen is having much work done to it as all of this exterior work is happening. So the house is torn apart and very noisy with pounding and nail guns, and ripping...the house sounds like it is groaning sometimes.... She is full of strangers...POOR dogs...They are beside themselves...

It is stressful, but a good stressful...I shall call it.

another picture post for memory files...BOYS BATH upstairs...

This is the bath that was produced out of a hallway that led to the original bath upstairs. When Kat was about 13, Kurt enclosed the one upstairs bath and made the entrance to it off of her bedroom to give her a private bath all to herself. (a LOVE gift from Daddy) He then carved this second bath out of the hallway and existing double closet for the boys to have a bath upstairs where they also resided. He is a good man... Love him!!!

I decided to do the facelift on this one in a more masculine tone. Though one can not tell, the walls are done in a Mocha color and there are black accents...

goodwill find

Kurt boxed in four shelves here for storage.

The shower is where the double closet originally was.

The quote on this art was very fitting for this time in my life and I do love so many of Helen Keller's words of wisdom...

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”

I happened to find this co-ordinating art just in the last week at GW - rests over the sink.

Another photo file for my e-journal of this Woodberry cottage...and I can't help but shout out a BIG and LOVING Rah and cheer of gratitude to my husband for all the work and hours of labor he put into this house and the grounds around it to make it a very special place to live these past 19 years....LOVE YOU, my sweet man...It truly was a labor of love and affection for our family. It is wonderful to have a gift from God in this man ....he can do so many many things, and has a mind to figure out stuff...grateful...

Closing out with an uber loud cheer to our military forces ALL over the world carrying out justice and defending all people's freedoms for their bravery, and commitment, and sacrifices and just relentless and tireless work to get done whatever they are asked to do. GOD BLESS YOU ALL and protect you with Guardian Angels of mercy and defense....

Hugs to all who may pop in. Got to run ...my house is shaking all over!!!

I don't know how I missed this post:( I saw it on Joyce's sidebar while leaving her a message! ANYWAY, I am here now and thankful to see your sweet home getting ready for some new owners! HECK, I want it myself... hehe!

Love all of your pretties, the towel rack is precious! Your bathroom is so cute! Love the checkered curtain and those doorknobs... gives me ideas about my family home when the property sells! I WILL take that famous doorknob from the front door!

Love you bunches! Theresa

LOVE the redo of the boys bathroom! The verse on the art work in there gave me a wonderful idea! We are about to replace our bedroom door. This is an old house and the door knob on our current bedroom door looks just like the one in the art work in your picture! I hate to part with it, so now I know how I can attractively display it! Thanks for the idea.

I am right there with you in praising the Lord for these brave men and women in our military who fight not only to keep us safe, but people all over the world.

Take care...can't wait to see the finished photos when the new siding is up!
