White Twinkley Wednesday....

Bright Lights ~ Big City

Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Twinkley Lights ~ Cozy Nest

Long before the Christmas season begins to show up in the retail world there are white twinkley lights shining in this home...it is one of my "makes me smile" feathers in the nest.

Kitchen Refrigerator Nook

I prefer them to a night-light.

Family Room upstairs

They put off a "warm and cozy" glow in an otherwise dark room. It is comforting if you have to get up in the middle of the night to walk through the house.

Living Room Shutter screen

It's almost like keeping a small measure of the "decorative" spirit of Christmas year-round...to remind me to keep it in my heart also...

In the "man-cave" downstairs

These little lights also remind me that we are to be light...in what is a dark world...If Christ is the LIGHT of the world...and we are to be imitators of HIM...then we should be glowing...reflecting that light! It will not be by what we say...(that is for "hearing")...it will be by how we LIVE!...our actions, what people are "seeing"! Are we living differently enough from the "norm" that we are shining....so to speak...in the darkness of those who do NOT know Jesus?

"The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day." (Proverbs 4:18)

Think about it. When you are in a dark room or location...when the power goes out...you are drawn to a source of light.

Are you twinkling for Jesus? Food for thought on this cold Wednesday!

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden." (Matthew 5:14)

Hugs to all my sparkley bloggy sisters who brighten my days.

God Bless YOU!

uh oh...they are predicting the first "real snow" for Cedar Rapids tonight and tomorrow.......!

Wonderful post, Julie. I enjoyed viewing all of the twinkley lights you have throughout your home. What a wonderful reminder that Jesus said we are the light of the world. There are so many wondering about in the darkness of this world that I pray I may be used as an instrument of His grace to shine light to show them the way. Love you!

Maybe that's why our
Christmas tree is still
up.....Such a comfort
in these deep, dark
nights of January!

BUT, that said, we have
been very spoiled this
winter! I walked Gracie
on dry pavement with
sunshine on my shoulders
and 53 degrees, yesterday.
Truly, a gift. Some colder
temps and snow showers
are supposed to blow in,
starting tomorrow....

Stay cozy!
xx Suzanne
