In Memory

Happy Birthday Sam. Today you would have been 7, but Diabetes took you away.
Thanks for what you taught us about canine/human relationships. We learned Patience. :-) You were our guinea pig for the other puppies to follow.

Miss your big black lump of fur laying under the dining room table...and racing out to meet Dad when he came home from work...every single day.

I prettied up your resting spot in honor of your Christmas season birthday.

Though you hated posing for a Christmas photo, you did love the goodies in your stocking.... :-)

Missing you Monkey....never to be forgotten.

Julie, I'm so sad about you losing your sweet Sam. We had two beautiful black labs a few years ago...Buddy and Brea...they passed away a year apart, at the age of 13. I cried like a baby for weeks, and still miss them, thinking of those precious eyes looking at me...they bring so much joy, then so much sadness when they leave. We now have another...God is so good that He allows us room in our hearts to love more of His little furry babies. We now have our Gracie Mae...she doesn't take Buddy or Brea's place...she has her own spot now...but they will always be our babies, too.

God bless,
Mary

Rest in Peace Sam. I know how it is to loose a member of your family. Even if they are canine. I had a dog named Nolie that we all loved like a child. She is forever missed, just like your Sam.

Hi Julie,

Thanks for stopping my tea cottage today...glad you liked the poem...I love it and love sharing it. I was glad to see that so many people already knew it...I think its one of the best Christmas stories around, as it speaks of our elderly and their need for company.

God bless,
Mary

Hi Julie,
So sorry that you lost your Sam. We lost our Barklee this year too. But the memories will always live on. And aren't we lucky to have had them in our lives to enrich it. He will always be my "B". Hope you are doing ok.

You brought a tear to my eye this morning. I know how you are feeling because we lost our Max of 14 years this summer. I miss him so much, but I know he wouldn't have survived this cold weather we're having right now.

Take care,

Kathleen
