Two Beautiful Words...Hey MOM!

Yesterday, it happened....FINALLY. My cell phone rang and it was my Marine.
We got cut off three times on that blasted satellite phone, but yet I love that phone so I won't whine too much...
Bless his heart, He kept trying. Every time we went dead, I just prayed, God, please let him try one more time!!!!!

His voice was music to my ears...I couldn't always make out what he was saying, but we got to converse enough that I feel like he is doing well, hanging in there.
They are counting the days just like we are. It's been a long tour...

I was able to pull out of him that he was involved in an IED blast, and pulled out for 7 days recuperating and with concussion. This tears my heart apart. He wouldn't tell me any details or any other information about injuries, but just that some other guys got it worse. They are encountering lots of these horrid weapons, and I thank you all so VERY much for praying for these heroes...

God protect them and bring them all home. Your support and prayers lifted up are priceless to me and so many other families who are going through the same seismic jumps in their hearts every week as they listen to the news from over there....

Phone calls are awesome, sometimes they are emotional, and scary...
Justin never tells all. He never has. not to mom anyway.

Thank you all. I know you all have been praying for me to get that call. It has been too long in coming. I am grateful. God bless YOU, and our hearts thank you for praying for ALL of them over there...

Some of you know first hand the emotions...

Grateful for bloggy sisters, prayer warriors, Marine and Military sisters...

Oh Julie!!!! So happy that Justin was able to call! My prayers will contine until he is home, I think of him often during the day and look up to the sky & whisper a "Dear Lord, please watch over our Marines & all of our troops, please watch out for Justin, Mark (my girlfriends son Army Ranger), Blake & Ryan, please bring all of them home safe" every day several times a day I ask the Lord for his protection. It's all we can do until they all come home! Sending prayers & hugs your way!! OOHRAH MMS!!! Stay Strong!

What wonderful news!! I know it must feel
like sheer heaven to hear your sweet guy's
voice on that phone! Praying the concussion
is not serious and that he will feel the
strength of the Lord hour by hour, day by
day. May the Lord keep His arms around
Justin and all those who are serving so
selflessly.
Love,
Sandy

My dear sweet Julie,
I am so glad for you to have had your call from Justin. The written word is powerful and yet just hearing the voice that ties us immediately to that one we so long to hear say our name can never be underscored enough. Learning of his involvement in the IED blast can't be easy for you, Julie. It causes tears to stream down my face just reading of it...both for you and for Justin. How grateful I am for the Lord's protection of him from receiving greater injury...and am so grateful for the power of prayer.

Wishing I could reach out right now and give you a hug.

Love coming your way,
Dianna

I can't believe that I almost missed this post! It was way down in my sidebar and wonder what made me keep scrolling:) I know and so do you! I have tears in my eyes for the happiness that I know you felt to hear his sweet voice! I have been worried about him and praying makes me feel less worried! I am happy to hear that he is OK and pray for his safety!

His day will come when he will be back to safety and you will be standing there waiting on him to come walking up! Oh what a feeling!

Love you my friend! Big hugs and feeling thankful this morning!
