Thrifty, thrifty Decorating

Haven't done this for a while so I'm joining in on the fun with Leigh's Thrift Thursday party!

http://lbratina.blogspot.com/2009/10/thrifty-thursday-38-tablescape.html

(spray painted the wood base and the white candlestick.)-fav. little thrift shop

(bowls are only .37 at GW here), so I couldn't resist these-they make eating oatmeal in the mornings cheery... a special treat. :-)

Craig's List. NO!!...this was not a usual purchase with the ten I stick in my wallet. This I used some of my "tip" money on from Petsitting. this was a reward to myself. :-)

SeaShell Platter (made in Italy) Goodwill

"Frenchy" Plaque (Salts for the bath) Habitat for Humanity store.

white love birds - clearance tent sale (Cheap, cheap cheeps) $1.50

White Peony wreath (new turn-in from Target to GW) - my mom got it for my b/day!
VERY heavy solid pedestal dish - GW (feels as heavy as a 5 lb. bag of sugar!)
pumpkin (actually looks like Mercury Glass in real life - GW)
Rocks - bag @ Dollar Store

Heavy iron candy?/candle hummingbird pedestal dish. I just used hydrangea petals - GW

This was the other half of the pair turned in. The little manager at our GW came up and noted how much she loved them as I was going to check out - and the price sure was right! they were $3.00 - GW

For that future black-and-white bath redo upstairs. - GW

I LOVE Goodwill's $.99 price-stickers!

Salvation Army store. Great prices on furniture if you go in on a 50% off day.
I wasn't leaving this cottage/beachy side table. There's a little pull out tray to place a glass or mug on, and storage inside, and I love the magazine rack on the back. This was an exciting find for me. I love thrifting.

favorite little thrift shop $.25 - love the little fleur-de-lis corners. Just needs a photo. :-)

another fleur-de-lis pretty. GW-.99 probably to be changed to black or white finish.

a sage toile quilted pillow sham (shams .79 at GW here) turned into a cart-topper.

a pair of stained glass lamps to go in the den. (fav little thrift shop - $3.00)shiny brass wall base is going to become a matte black.

3-D "relief" wall plaque - heavy! GW $1.99

So, once again, just sharing purchases that reveal you really can decorate and embellish on a small small budget!!! THRIFT! It's real-life treasure hunting!
Have fun.:-)

Woah! You got some loot girl! Awesome finds! I love the key, I would paint it to one of the colors you suggested. I am in love with your shell plate. GORGEOUS! All your finds are good ones. I love the cheery bowls and the lamp too. Thanks for participating in Thrifty Thursday this week! Some great finds, my friend!
Hugs!

Hi Julie! It is such a small world! So glad you liked the Little Miss Lucy's sweater. She was not very pleased with me when I took her picture (it was raining out). I call her my little snuggle bunny since this is what she does, all day. :)

Look at all of your finds!!! Those bowls are too cute, love the colors!
