White Wednesday Again..

Here's Kathleen's link to her White Wednesday party she does weekly.
http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/

Love this little toile bird. Hangs on my large birdcage.

post-Christmas sale purchase. Having a Marine, this is a constant thought, so I wanted to keep it on display year round.

Reduced items sitting lonely and abandoned at different places in a Hobby Lobby Clearance aisle. Rescued them and brought them home, gave them a matching white coat, and set a little guardian angel in the center..think they now feel at home and loved.

Hung an old chippy white (with a touch of robin's-egg blue showing through)window up over the hutch to give depth to the vignette up there. It fits in well. that window has been resting in my room for 4-5 months waiting to be hung on a wall....finally!

Was a wall shelf... repurposed to be a pretty doorstop in the front hall. Now all I need is a little white mouse to set there on the ledge. I'll be keeping my eyes open for one.

This also was moved. It was in the master, but now hangs over my desk in the Living Room where I can view it more often, as it is a favorite print. I like the different shades of white it displays.

Remember this white tree I posted back in December for Christmas, and I said I planned to keep it out year round?

Well, here it is now with twinkle lights in a corner of the LR. The lights stay on always. Pretty at night. :-) *( the print above that table is also another that I LOVE!! vintage print >very hard to find - by Charles Burton Barber. grabbed up at Salvation Army on a visit. I almost MISSED it!!! ($7.00)

And Last but surely not least.. the two fluffy whites that occasionally pop up in these posts.
Another reason it is good to have a King size bed, and a $3 blue thrift-find spread to throw over the quilts and bedding because of the FUR!.. doggie beds abound, but still, they migrate to this spot.... go figure.

That's all for today. It's been fun!!! Thanks so much for visiting. Go over and see a lot more white at Kathleen's FADED CHARM blog.

Good Morning,
Great post today! I love your idea of using a wall shelf as a dorr stop. Fabulous! And that tree, I would keep it up all year long and decorate it for all of the holidays and in between too! And your pups sleeping......priceless:)

Thank you so much for paying me a visit via Barb-Bella Vista. I need to send her more gifts because I am meeting some really nice people, including you:) My Marine Nephew is also out of Camp LeJeune. He left for Afghanistan on December 16th. He is one month in and they say he will be there for 7~we know that could change but I hope not for his Mother's sake(my Sister). Please thank YOUR Justin for his service. I appreciate all of these young men and women and the sacrifices they are making as well as the sacrifices of the families. I will add him to my prayer list. It now has THREE Justins on it who are all Marines:) Have a blessed evening, hugs from Georgia!

Julie, Thank you so much for your visit and for your kind words!! I appreciate all the support and prayers that I can get and I am willing to give the same support and send up special prayers for you and your Marine!! I have never been away from Justin until he joined and it has been a very hard thing to get use to!! I also like him being and Camp LeJeune better than Afghanistan!! But we are doing ok and with Gods help we will all survive deployment!! We just take it One Day at a Time!!! I hope to keep in touch with you...Have a great evening!! Blessings from Georgia!!

Hi Julie,

First I want to tell you how I LOVED your comment on my post a few days ago! What you said was exactly what I've been thinking and feeling...OUR home has to work for all of us, not just me. There has to be balance, and I'm striving for that...this is my year to get things in order, and to remove some of the frustration and confusion from my life. And I didn't think your comment was LONG...it could have gone on and on...I loved every word, and I even read it to my hubby! He has been complaining about not finding room on the counter to make a sandwich, so he realy got a laugh when you said your husband couldn't find a place to lay his bread!

Life is always a lesson, isn't it...we live and learn constantly, always stretching to find that sweet and calm place called being in the will of God....that is where I want and need to be...we all do...its a matter of listening to His voice most of the time. He's spoken so many words of wisdom, but so often I have gone on about my own way, only to find myself in a mess.

I also want you to know that I am praying for Justin, for God's protection over his life. I'm praying for you as well, knowing that your heart must be aching at his absence in your home, and thinking about his comfort while on this mission. None of us know what the future holds, but we are in the palm of God's hand, and just as I have to depend on the Lord for my daughter's life, you must depend on Him for Justin...it truly does build our faith and bring us to our knees, but there is no better place to be.

Well, now I'VE written a book! Thank you again for your wonderful comment...I'm so glad we've met here in blogland. Its people like you that make it a special place to find a friend...knowing there are women (and men) here that will listen, share, and encourage each other is truly a blessing. I am grateful for YOU!

Love and hugs,
Mary
