BEING A PERFECT PARENT DOESN'T MATTER. BEING A PRAYING PARENT DOES. - Stormie O'Martian
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask HIM." Matthew 7:11
"...The only way to be sure that God IS in control of our children's lives is to surrender our hold and allow HIM full access to their lives. The way to do that is to live according to HIS Word, and HIS ways and pray to HIM about everything. We can trust God to take care of our children even better than we can. When we release our children into the Father's hands and acknowledge that He is in control of their lives, and ours, both we and our children will have greater peace.
We can't be everywhere. But God can. We can't see everything. But God can. We can't know everything. But God can. No matter what age our children are, releasing them into God's hands is a sign of our faith and trust in Him and is the first step toward making a difference in their lives. Prayer for our children begins there."

Prayer to Pray: (Stormie O'Martian)
Thank You, Lord, for the precious gift of children. Because Your Word says that every good gift comes from you, I know that You have given them to me to care for and raise. Help me to do that. Show me places where I continue to hang on to them and enable me to release them to Your protection, guidance, and counsel. Help me not to live in fear of possible dangers, but in the joy and peace of knowing that You are in control. I rely on You for everything, and this day I trust my children to You and release them into Your hands....
"Our deeds, our priorities, our values will come home to rest in our front yards through the lives of our children...Beating within the heart of every decent parent is a desire to set our children on the right course." - Rolf Zettersten
"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth."
III John 1:4

As a military spouse, I have great respect for those military moms who are able to give it all to God. My daughter is only 11, and I already have a constant struggle to really, truly give her completely to the Lord. I don't know why I try to maintain that control - it's always better when it's in His hands.
Prayer is the best thing that we can do for our kids no matter their age. Have a blessed week.
Beautiul post, Julie, I love Stormie's books, my favorite: "The Power of a Praying Wife".
Great looking family Semper Fi
