So, so pretty!! I wish we had a mantle to decorate. I have to settle for shelves. Oh well. Some people don't even have homes! Praise God for all the good things He provides us with to celebrate this wonderful season--especially Himself! Hugs, Sandy
Beautiful, just like you my friend! I am glad to see that Christmas is finding it's way to you...Have a wonderful day, bake some cookies, put on some Christmas Music & enjoy the season. Your heart will be full forever, prayers for your dad. I found myself thinking of him this morning when I was sitting at my kitchen table having coffee...isn't that funny ~ I was just sitting there looking out the window watching the birds and I found myself thinking of you dad. I sent up a special prayer...
Julie, I'm so glad you got some Christmas decor up. They are gorgeous, I don't have a mantel but I trust in God one day I will and you know I'll share that with you. I just wanna stop by and tell you the amazing, wonderful, glorious news... YES!! my boricua got the retirement!!!, I can't express with words how grateful we are to Our Lord. Thank you Julie, thank you so much for your prayers and words of encouragment. We got the news today stil waiting for the final letter stating the benefits which we are entitled to. So far we know there are educational benefits for all our kids. Lots and lots of hugs my friend. And of course, lots and lots of prayers for you, you Dad and your family. Cotty
What a beautiful setting, Julie. I know it is done with thoughts of having your family together. I know Justin was able to be there over Thanksgiving, will he be in for Christmas at all while Kurt is home?
I just mailed a stocking to my man to hang in the apartment for us. It has a snowman on it, and says, "HOPE". Just couldn't resist. Also sent a few strands of lights.
Love your mantel. Missing putting all of mine up this year, but know I will get to again soon.
I have been married for over 30 years. Through God's plan and grace, my husband and myself are slowly but surely being changed and shaped into the man and woman He wants us to be. We have been plucked up out of the Southern state of North Carolina and transplanted into the Midwestern state of Iowa. God has plans and He works to make sure they happen all for our best. We have 4 precious children. Katie, Justin, Jonny, and Kameron. They are of great value, more than gold and precious jewels to Kurt and myself. They are our most valuable asset on this earth. We love the Lord God, and live to continually try to give Him honor and glory in our words and actions. His grace is sufficient, and the supremacy of Jesus Christ is our strength and confidence. Where we are weak, HE is strong.

"She does him good and not evil all the days of her life" Prov. 31:12 The greatest gift you can give your husband is the gift of lifting his name and his needs before the throne of God. Prayer for your husband releases the energies of God, for prayer is asking God to do what you cannot do." Elizabeth George
"...admonish the young women to love their...children" Titus 2:4 "The world is tugging at our children's hearts, pulling them down and away from God. Loving our children means we are willing to get down in the trenches and fight to turn our children's hearts toward God -toward His Word and His ways." Elizabeth George

You know the scripture that say something about blessed is the man with a quiver full? I say blessed is the woman with a mantel full of stockings!
