Friday Favorites

Today I am just doing a post about my "Favorite Things" in this walk in life.

I think I'll also link over to Michael @ Designs By Gollum for:

Now on to my Favorites.

My FAITH:

My Christian heritage of Faith through which I am forever grateful as I navigate this journey on earth.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible...And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (from Hebrews 11)

FAVORITE Bible Verse:
"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me." (Jeremiah 29: 11-13)

FAVORITE Goodwill find ever:
wow, hard to narrow down, but this is one of the largest deals I ever got...

all leather sofa (39.00) One of the cushions was worn, but all cushions stay covered because of the doggies getting on it, so it did not matter... this sofa came onto the sales floor as I was checking out, and a lady whom I had just been chatting with about my faith and my gratitude for a store like Goodwill came running up to tell me about it, because I had mentioned to her that I hoped against hope to find a decent leather sofa one day in a Goodwill. ( Is that providence or what?)I would not have known about this sofa because I was about to walk out the door. And this lady would not have known I desired one, if we had not met and started talking about the Lord and His provision for us in this life. God is Good!

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Have rice prepared. Serve an enchilada on top of a bed of rice. Have Guacamole, Sour Cream and Hot sauce for side toppings.

Hi Julie! You have such a wonderful looking family, home and canine friends! Thank you for sharing all of this with us. Faith is my favorite word....without it, well simply, life would be quite confusing.

Hi, Julie.....I really had fun reading your post! What a really clever way to showcase your favorite things. I may have to just steal that format from you for a future post! LOL We share a few favorites I noticed. That's one of my favorite scripture verses also! It thrills me everytime I read it. Hydrangeas and gardenias are my absolute favorite flowers but neither one of them grow very well here in the desert.:( I'm also re-reading the Mitford series this summer.....it's the only series I've ever done that with. For Christmas someone gave me the Mitford cookbook which is so much fun. Your famiy is lovely...enjoyed reading about them...haven't see what your recipe is yet but I'm headed over there now. Be blessed!
