Thrifting and Reading
Linking up with Leigh again here for Thrifty stuff and goodies:
http://lbratina.blogspot.com/2010/02/thrifty-thursday-52-plus-tablescape.html
and...... at the end of the post I included two books I thought all of you would enjoy viewing that are visiting Leigh's post today.
With Valentines just around the corner, this little cherub trash can fits right in for this week. Love the images on it. (goodwill)
perfect size little wire basket for the spare roll. Never get caught without one!! {:-o (goodwill)
Another Tole Tray. I sometimes can't believe the prices on these trays if I only get them from Thrift Shops. (resale shop)
This chippy vintage blue tea cart was really a gift from my son #3. He gave me money for Christmas to get a large supply of birdseed. After I got a huge bag at BJ's, I had 5.00 left. And guess what was 4.99 at Goodwill??? Thanks Kam. I'm lovin' it.
that's all for the Thrifting part. On to the book sharing......
Finally got this book from the library. I put it on hold and had to wait a while to get it.
I love it. Thought I'd share a few photos from it to let you get a taste of how fun and inspiring it is.
Another one that someone mentioned in a blogpost (I can NOT remember who it was..) sent me scurrying to the library, and I also posted a few photos from it. Loved it!
I feel kind of like Levar Burton on Reading Rainbow for kids on PBS... but I really did delight in browsing through these two books with their lovely images. BUT!...you don't have to take my word for it! :-)
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a Thrifty Thursday, and go visit Leigh and the others having fun.

Loved the book and all your sweet goodies..that is so fun and thanks for sharing! Come say hi :D
Girl, don't you just love Goodwill! I had new pillows on the sofa yesterday and when my husband came home from work, he said "Goodwill"? I said nope Target:) Love to go thrifing. Hey, I think I'll go today:) Hugs to you and hope you have a blessed day!
I love the tole tray! One of those things I've always wanted to learn to do...but never went to the expense of learning. And I enjoyed the pages you shared from the books. The one of the watches on the enamel tray is my favorite!
Safe travels for your husband as he goes to get your Marine. What a Valentine treat for your entire family to have Justin home!
Oh I just love Goodwill so much, but I'm getting a bit cluttered again. :-(
Hoping you have a wonderful weekend! Happy Valentine's Day!
Julie, my friend, I just wanted to drop by today and let you know that I'm remembering your family in prayer over the next several days. You have to be SO excited about now...time for your Marine to come home. Hugs to you!
