White Wednesday
Having fun with Kathleen over at Faded Charm.
Check out her post today, along with all her participants here:

Remember the little chippy angel with the broken foot I shared on White Wednesday earlier? Well...he got himself a bonifide heavenly wing this past week. Now he can officially hover over Justin's shoulder. This is what I will look at every day when Justin goes to Afghanistan in March. It will be my reminder. And the wing just fit perfectly. I don't even notice the missing foot.
When a girl finds 2 pair of Pillow shams that look like the two above, and the price is 79 cents....what will she do? (this is not a trick question!) She will buy both pairs. Shams are great for layering over tablecloths, on chairs, gracing a sofa back, runners for small tables, toppers for shower curtains, layering for window toppers, hanging off of hutches, etc, etc! not to mention the obvious, beautiful pillows on a bed.
When a 15 year old little lamp breaks because the switch is worn out, and you can get another lamp cheaper at the thrift shop, than you can go buy a new electrical kit for the old one....what does a girl do with the base she loves?....Take all the electrical components off and use it for a pedestal to hold a little perfume bottle!!
When a gal wants a particular "wall-word" saying to grace her home, but the price for a custom one to be made does NOT fit her pocketbook, what is she to do???? Just get on a chair and do it herself...Yikes. It's not perfect, but then neither is this little Cape Cod cottage!..So I guess it fits. :-)

Such a sweet little angel...and I love the shams..so shabby chic..good idea with the lamp base and you are very brave to write on the wall like that...mine would look like a first grader did it! Very cute! :D
I love the shams Julie! I would have bought them all too. I also love that angel and it is exactly where it needs to be. I can't believe we will have both of our Justins over there at the same time. We are gonna wear our knees out praying:) Hugs to you and your sweet family!

I love all your remakes! Wonderful ideas!
Blessings~
Julie, you are amazing! The pillow shams are absolutely beautiful and you named places to use them that I would have never thought of! Great find!
I love your wall work! You give me courage...I want to do something on a particular spot in our mud room. I'm still working on the "something", but when I see how pretty yours is, I know it is something I want to do myself. That must give you such satisfaction to know that there is a part of you there.
But my favorite for today's displays is the feathered wing for Justin's guardian angel. No words right now...but I know you know my heart.
What a sweet angel and your son is in my prayers. Hopefully this angel will watch over him and keep him safe.
Enjoy your day.

I love the angel. (will continue prayers for your son and the other brave men and women)The pillow shams were a steal! And the words on the wall are great:) Happy White Wednesday!

I love your precious angel. I have one that is missing her entire lower half and she has a special place in the family room. And I love your art work on the wall. Wonderful! Happy WW.
I love that wing on that little angle. I have got a wingless angel too, and I might just give her a chance to fly again just like yours.
I LOVE your craftiness! and recycling of old treasures into new!!
Wow...freehand saying on your wall? Wonderful!
