Monday Musings...

This week has flown by.

Still no news from Justin. Our hearts just yearn to receive letters and to hear his voice, but we will hang in there. No news is good news... as they say. It will happen....

My mom had a good weekend. My sister and my brother were able to be here yesterday and Mom's pastor and his wife came over and we sang some of her favorite hymns. Then they served communion for her, because she has been wanting to do that for soooo long since she has not been able to go to church anymore. It made her day...

I have not had a lot of down time, but I still try to do what is a release for me and fluff my nest and look for thrift finds when I am out and about and can stop and look for fun.

Thought I would share a find from Craig's List. Where I had the "Industrial Steel" rack in my kitchen for a catch-all, (no mud room) I now have a Baker's Rack. Saw this one in black on Craig's List a couple of weeks back, and snagged it.- great deal, and got two drawers in the exchange.
I also had changed out the round table for a narrower farm table and windsor chairs. Now there is more space in the corner and more seating. rah. The old round pedestal table is now in the family room for projects and puzzle-working.

And this .99 whimisical Rooster Red alarm clock at GW was just a no brainer...I had to get it for the Rack. Hoping to have chickens and maybe a rooster again one day!

Finally finished up some other things I have had hanging over my head for a while.
I will journal about them in other posts.

I thank you all for your thoughts and comments and prayers lifted up for us in this little corner of the world. Especially about my mom, and most definitely about our Justin. We will do as he instructed us, and keep our heads up while he keeps his down.

May God bless you all and keep you as you journey through this coming week, all that will come your way, all that you face, and prayers that you will adapt and overcome. ..another Marine term..

Bloggy sisters ....they are a good thing in this life. :-) Hugs to all who visit.

Glad you were able to enjoy a good day with your mom. I am keeping your son in my prayers. One of my nephews just graduated from basic training this weekend (Army- Fort Jackson). I don't know where he will be sent next.

I like the new table soooo much better. We can actually sit and have meals together again. :) Also, the light is very unique, especially with the berries cord-cover.

Hello my friend,
I've really been out of the loop when it comes to blogging these last couple of weeks. Hopefully I can get myself back in the routine again in the next few days.

Glad to hear that your mom had such a good weekend. I think of her so often and pray for her. I pray she continues to do well.

Sorry you've not heard from Justin. But you have a good attitude...God's grace prevails...that is obvious in your post today.

Love ya and hope that you and yours continue to move forward.

Hugs!
Dianna
