Wandering through another Wednesday...

Oh Kobe...saying your prayers again for Daddy to come home soon??? poor puppy...
There's always somebody missing someone....somewhere.....

Sebby???? You don't usually come downstairs and stay. Must have been watching all the birds outside the dining room window after I refilled all the feeders...

Sweet little wrought iron stand found new at Goodwill with the Crate and Barrel tag still on it. Shopped the house for fluff, and found a motherlode of wine corks and toppers in one of my petsitting client's kitchen trash!...

(shhhh! I liked all the different ones with colors and pulled some out before I tossed their trash!)

Here's another attempt at some Christmas decorating. This little bird cage stand is another one I redid. From Brass to a Powder Baby Blue color. I put one of my favorite Christmas Saint Nicholas with angels figures in it.

They sit in a bed of shredded white gift stuffing with glittery glass balls. I put a white cutwork pillow sham over the base.

I love blue and white...

Got my lights on the family room mantel. This is where I usually display my collection of Pencil Santas. There are over 50 of different colors, shapes, nationalities, and heights. I have been collecting them since Kat was 5 years old.
Kurt has given me a number of them. I am decorating lightly this year, so I will not get them out...maybe next year.

A secret Santa elf loving care package going to my much missed Honey. Can't say what's in it since he may read this....but I did tell him there are cooking spices coming his way for his kitchen. Missed my Marine from March to October...now I'm missing my man from October to ....?? Make it short Lord....make it short!!

Thanks to all of you for your encouraging comments ... They sure can comfort a sad spirit... Hugs to all! Hope you all have an outstanding week as you all are preparing for Christmas. I can see all the hard work in the blogposts! May the Spirit of Christmas fill all our hearts with the JOY of this season.

Let's not forget our Marines and all military heroes who are away from home this Christmas. Saying a prayer...

God bless America. God bless our troops. Bring them home!
SEMPER FI!!!!

Love the decorations!! I love blue and white too!! I know that you are missing your honey!! Jeff went out of town a couple of years ago to work and was gone for 8 months! He was able to come home every other weekend or so but it was still hard especially with the kids!! Just keep those care packages going!! :)

Enjoy your day!! Love you bunches!

YES, Lord, please bring them all
home, safe and sound!!!
Your home looks so warm, cozy and
merry, Julie, despite the little
holes in your heart that only your
hubby and your mama can fill.
I hope you are being gentle on
yourself and not doing too much.
Your package goes in the mail,
tomorrow. They had just closed
their doors when I got there yesterday!
Merry Wednesday, dear Julie!
xx Suzanne

The santa and angels in the bird cage that you redid is SO pretty, Julie! I envy you in the way you can look at something and picture it the way you want it to be.

I had to chuckle when I read about you collecting those wine corks from a client's trash. I could just imagine you explaining that one to them should they have appeared unexpectedly. You are such a sweetheart!

Continued prayers for you, your dad and Kurt.

Love coming your way from SNOWY WV!

Julie, this has been a tough year on all of you, including the pets. Hoping that 2011 will be better in every way!

I had to smile when I saw your birdcage with Santa and the shredding in it. So far Makoa has been good about not touching things... not even the tree. However... I think that would be too much temptation for the little guy! lol! I am praying you two will be reunited soon! And for all people separated this time of year. xoxo

Everything is so pretty--especially the
mantle and the birdcage! I love your
pets and seeing their pictures. My
cats both watch me intently as I refill
my bird feeders, too. Hope you will
get to see Kurt for Christmas.
Blessings,
Sandy
