I LOVE Surprises!!!!!!!

Thursday night at approximately 9:30 pm I just about got swept off my feet by an unexpected event here on Woodberry Road.
This honorable young man showed up at our back door!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh me Oh my...Talk about hollering, and kissin' and huggin' and Barking...

I had been arranging substitutes to do petsitting jobs for me Friday night, Kurt was checking out the car for the 10 hour drive, and I had walked my dogs early so I could go to bed. I was supposed to go and get Justin tomorrow afternoon for a very very brief last weekend before they ship out to Afghanistan this upcoming week.

He had texted me this evening that he would see me tomorrow afternoon.

And then, that Marine popped in. He had talked one of his roommates into driving him all the way over here to Charlotte on his way to FLORIDA!!!! What an awesome guy. I'm sure Justin made it worth his while. Thank you Raush!!! WE sure do love our Marine....

Everybody out there have a great weekend.
Keep praying for all our men and women over there defending our lives of liberty and happiness over here.

Oh Julie...I had no idea Justin was going to get in for another weekend before shipping out. How very special the way he surprised you! I love it! I am so grateful to the Lord for your family having this extra bit of time with Justin. I'll certainly be remembering all of you in prayer this weekend...especially for the last hugs.

Hello, Julie,
I am SO sorry to hear about you having Vertigo. What a bummer! I have a close friend here who has to deal with bouts of it. I know she really suffers with it. This last time she had it she had to miss a week of work. I'm glad you are starting to do some better today though.

I will definitely be praying for you...and the family tomorrow as Justin and your husband leave for LeJuene. Church has already been canceled for us tomorrow (we got hit with another foot and a half of snow since Wednesday night and are getting another 8 inches tonight)...so I will have a clear time frame to concentrate on praying for you guys...both before he leaves and afterward. I know going is what Justin wants to do, but I'm sure it doesn't make it any easier for him to give you that last hug for a while.

I'm doing good...thank you for your prayers. Carroll will be with me on Wednesday and I'm trusting the Lord for whatever His purpose and outcome are. In the meantime, yes, I'm keeping busy. I have given up counting how many times I've had to rip several rows out of this new adult afghan I'm working on. When I'm not busy crocheting the stitches in, I'm busy ripping them out. LOL

You take care and I'll be checking back in on you.
