Weekend news

ohhhhhhhhhh!!!! I got hit with THIS this past Friday. IT IS NOT FUN in any way, shape, or form. I don't wish this on anyone. (Well, maybe on the enemy over in Afghanistan. Then we wouldn't even have to use ammunition. We could just gather them up as they fell to the ground in dizziness and take them all away.) A much safer outcome ... alas...not possible.

It was not what I anticipated for my time with Justin, but I know all things happen for a reason. I am up and walking slowly today. (even gonna get a shower...YIPPEE)
The last two days I got to listen to Justin laughing and having fun with his siblings., (from my bed) He's Marine loud, all you moms know what I mean who have one. ...so his voice rises over the others. But when he and his brothers get together playing an x-box game...you know it.
It was a wonderful sound that gave me lots of smiles. He came in occasionally to see me or bring crackers.
I didn't want anybody getting near me in case I had a virus causing the dang vertigo.

However, I am better and will see him off today with his dad taking him back to LeJeune. It is bittersweet. I don't know if we will go to Lejeune on Thursday to see the Marines off as they leave for Cherry Point. Most ventures like that are quite disappointing as there is very little "real-time" to spend with your Marine and Justin is so focused when he is on base that it is not very relaxed or enjoyable time. I have a feeling they will be running here and there and so I'm curious. Any Marine moms out there who have a say about whether they went to see their Marine off on his fly-out day, and whether it was disappointing?
Sound off, cause I'm anxious to hear.
Either way we are definitely saying goodbyes, hugs, prayers, and appreciating the moments today.
Thanks so much for praying for me and for this day. Hugs to all!

Good Morning Julie! I know you were happy to hear his voice in the background as you snuggle on your pillow:) I know that Marine loud voice and can't wait to hear it again in person. I hope you feel better soon. Give Justin a GIANT hug and a huge "Thank You" from a Marine Aunt! I will be praying daily for your Justin as you are praying for mine! Hugs and love from Georgia!

Julie,
I wanted to drop by today and let you know that you are in my prayers and thoughts so much. I'm glad that Justin had this weekend to be able to spend quality time with his siblings. It sounds like they had fun. Brothers have a special bond, but I keep thinking about the picture of Justin and Kat...her love for her brother was written all over her face. And that beautiful dog whose "boy" is Justin.
Anyway...I'm glad that you are able to enjoy some time being up, etc. with the family today before Justin and your husband leave.
Take care and I'll be checking in on you.

Julie,
I am so sorry you were not feeling well during Justins visit!! :( I know how precious every moment is and how that leaving time feels!! I could just sit and cry for you!! It is such a fresh feeling for me!! We did not do the go and see him off visit!! My heart could not handle it...I cried for days and still have moments where I am cry just at a drop of the hat!! I had friends that did go and see their Marine off and said that they were busy and really didn't get that one on one time but was still with him!! SO...Its just all in what you think you can handle!! I myself did not handle any of this deployment stuff good at all!! You just tell him that this Marine Mom said Thank You and to Stay Safe!!!

You take care of your-self and just know that I am praying for you every time I say a prayer!!

Blessing from Georgia!!

I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well while your son was there, Julie, but it sounds like you all still had a wonderful weekend.

Please know you are in my prayers and I'm praying to God asking Him to put a hedge around Justin while he is in Afghanistan. God bless you all for your sacrifice. It means the world to me.

Take good care and feel better soon. :)
