The Changing of the Guard...the ROOF that is...

Well, it is DONE! The old roof is off, the new roof is on. Another nice and very necessary change on this house.
Below are a few pics of the work in progress, and I will post one of the roof finished when I get pictures of the window work in progress today.
It is an architecturalshingle roof and looks so much better!!!

And a shot of them doing Kurt's big 2-story garage/mancave......

The contractors sent out the BIG crew, and these guys worked straight through the day and got TWO roofs put on before 5:00. AMAZING....
I had one casualty that made me sad. I lost my most beautiful red/purple hydrangea bush to the weight of all the materials sliding down the tarp over it... bwah..... It was right at the front porch... :-(

What a busy busy busy week.

Much accomplished, much yet to do.

My man has returned to Iowa.

My Marine is on his way home!!!

My daughter got a new job after being laid off in January!!!!!

My dad is one of the hardest working men I know...

And I do believe that a large measure of Justice has been served as I listened to our President proclaim tonight that Osama Bin Laden has been taken out of this world and can no longer stir up any more terrorist activity on the Innocents....

God Bless America. God bless our brave and courageous fighting Military Heroes...

Hugs to all who pop in....My commenting ability is broken again, and I am trying to fix it... :-(

Add-on Monday am...

new roof

a shot with the current windows. ..love the 6-over-9 on the front. The new ones will not look the same...oh well energy efficiency and tilt-in cleaning will make up for it...

And so another day begins...

Wow!!! very nice Julie. So happy your Marine is heading home ;).... Very glad that sad chapter in Our Beloved Country is closed. Love the new look on your home. ALWAYS praying for you and your family, don't forget it.

And now, I'll ask you for your prayers... again =[. We are waiting the results from a procedure done to My Boricua. Last results were pre cancerous, 'caught on time' according to the doctor. Just anxious you know. I believe in the power or praying and I KNOW Our Lord's Mercy.

Thank you Julie ;)

Your house is so
darling ~ looks so
much like the doll
house that I had as
a little girl....
The "perfect" home!
Sounds like you had
a week filled with
goodness, culminating
with the triumph of
good over evil on
Sunday!!! Yay!
